Kyla + James | Vancouver Wedding Photographer

What a fun wedding!  Kyla looked breathtaking. From the warm tropical paradise of the Bloedel Conservatory, to the snowy mountain top of SFU,and finishing at the vintage fine dining room of the Old Surrey Restaurant, this wedding was non-stop awesome.  We also had a photo booth for the guests, there is just something hilarious that comes from people take their own photographs.

I was so excited to make another wedding photo/video slideshow. Click it 720p or higher, watch the good stuff!

Thanks so much to Lumina Romanycia for capturing some great video, and Kathleen Loski for running the photobooth. Way to rock it, girls!

Awesome job to Irina Gabriela for doing Kyla and the girls’ make-up. Check out her new website, The Beauty Vault

Taylar + Neal | Langley Wedding Photographer

I am so excited to show off this fabulous wedding! Taylar is one of my oldest and dearest friends, and I was honoured for her to choose me as her wedding photographer. Here is a note from Taylar on how Neal proposed, and some of the wedding highlights:)

It was a Saturday morning, November 6, 2010. I was sleeping but could feel that Neal was awake and sleepily wondered why he wouldn’t just get up if he was awake. I opened my eyes to his smiling face.

“You are so beautiful”, he said, “I love waking up next to you.”

I replied, “I love waking up next to you too.”

“I want to wake up next to you for the rest of my life…”

He lifted a red box from below our bed, open with something sparkling inside.

His eyes sparkling, he coyly replies, “so marry me?” So Neal.

I looked at him, and then box and burst into tears, hugging him and kissing him.

Then I replied, “yes! Yes! Yes!”

And he put the ring on my finger. It was the most amazing moment of my life.

We got so lucky on our wedding day. When you plan a November wedding, you come to terms with the fact (and if you’re me – you plan to make alternative photography arrangements) the weather will most likely not be great. November 5, 2011 there was blue sky and sunshine all day long. It was a wonderful day filled with laughter, smiles, tears and our amazing family and friends.

One of our favourite moments at the wedding was when we read each other the vows we had written for each other. It was so emotional and heartfelt and even though we weren’t in private it felt as though we were the only two people standing there.

Neal, who used to play in a few bands when we first started dating, surprised me at the wedding by playing one of our favourite songs with my brother. I was so taken by surprise and when he got up on stage and started to sing it brought me to tears. It is something I’ll never forget about our wedding.

Here is the video/slideshow from their wedding, click it big! It’s in HD:)

Thanks so much to Taylar and Neal for having us! A special thanks to Marie Skerl for her beautiful second-shooting, videography and assisting. You rock it, girl!

BrieAnne and Brian | Langley engagement photographer

I am so excited to share this post! BrieAnne and Brian were a really wonderful and sweet couple to work with.  They chose Cambell Valley park as the background for their engagement session, and it was a great day for photographs.

I made another engagement video/photo compilation for them, with the help of Elle Romanycia’s videography. I hope you all enjoy it!
